On September 29, 2007, Clara Maass Medical Center celebrated its 50th Anniversary in Belleville with a 1950’s-themed black tie gala at the Richard J. Codey Arena at South Mountain. Senate President and former Governor Richard J. Codey served as Honorary Chairman for the occasion, which was the first formal evening at his namesake venue. Together, sponsors, journal supporters and the 500 guests who attended helped the event raise over $470,000.

Platinum Record sponsors were Barr & Barr, Ross Products, and the Medical Staff of Clara Maass Medical Center. Gold Record sponsors included Carmen Orechio, Valley National Bank and Northern New Jersey Anesthesia Associates, LLC. Silver Record Sponsors were Apruzzese, McDermott Mastro & Murphy, P.C.; Fannie E. On November 5, 2007, over 300 guests attended Clara Maass Medical Center’s A Tasteful Experience at the Pleasantdale Chàteau in West Orange. This annual event features local restaurants and beverage vendors who donate their time, talent and culinary expertise to support Clara Maass Medical Center.
Guests enjoyed delicious samples from over 30 local restaurants and food purveyors including Blu, Bohemia Latin Cuisine, CulinAriane, Ecco Bella, Fascino, Gencarelli’s Bakery, Joe Bartoni’s Italian Market, Love My Cake, Nanina’s In The Park, Osteria Giotto, Pleasantdale Château, Raymond’s, Restaurant Passionné, Senorita’s Mexican Grill, Table 8, The Food Company and Toast, and Michael Trullinger cheese monger.

This year’s beverage purveyors included AriZona Beverage Company, Bayfield Importing, Glaceau products, JTE Spirits, Juan Prieto Wines and Vinifrance, Inc., Kobricks Coffee, Martin Scott Wines, Michael Skurnik Wines, Polaner Selections, Rosenthal Wine Merchants, Sussex Wine Merchants, SM 23 Bar Lounge, T. Edwards Wines, VOS Selections, Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery and Willette Wines.
Guests not only feasted on samples but explored The Pleasantdale Chateau’s entire first floor and beautiful grounds.
