It is the policy of the Foundations affiliated with the Saint Barnabas Health Care System not to sell or provide donor lists or donor information to other organizations. Any technical/web tools used by this department are to ensure that we are providing our donors with the best possible service. After months of research and to service the online giving needs of our donors, Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation has contracted Entango to perform the secure transaction of your online contribution. They are an independent company and are not related to CMMC other than performing this service. They come highly recommended by other well-respected nonprofit organizations.
When a donor uses Entango-enabled services to make an online donation, the credit card billing information, including the name on the donor’s card, billing address, and expiration date, is used to process the donation. All this information is encrypted using SSL, industry standard secure technology. This encryption is designed to prevent theft or interception of the information. Unlike retailers, who commonly keep complete credit card numbers in case there is a billing dispute, Entango stores only encrypted versions of donor’s credit card numbers.
Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation has access to an encrypted version of the donor’s credit card number, showing only the last four digits of the number. And a transaction identification number issued by Entango. However, in a case such as a billing dispute, it may be necessary for Clara Maass to have access to the entire credit card number. In such a case, Entango will try to help the nonprofit resolve the billing dispute with only the encrypted number. If that is not possible, Entango will take every precaution available to ensure that the donor’s credit card number is released only to authorized employees of the nonprofit involved.
Donating online with Entango will not open your credit card information to dissemination. Entango will not disclose, sell, trade, rent, or otherwise reveal donor’s credit card information to third parties, including advertisers or marketers, without first receiving the donor’s consent. This information is only used to process the donation.
Entango collects the donor’s e-mail addresses to send them confirmation of the transaction for the donor’s records. Entango will automatically send updates on information such as transaction activity and password changes as a security measure; personal page access schedules, and other periodic reports unless the donor checks the box on the online donation form requesting not to be sent any such information.
Entango will not disclose, sell, trade, rent or otherwise reveal donor’s e-mail addresses with a third party, other than the nonprofit receiving the donation.
